Elevated Office

Word of caution for our mobility-challenged guests.

Legends of the Bayou campgrounds near Bay St Louis is situated on a bayou. Since Hurricane Katrina, our building codes now require all permanent structures to be elevated into a safe zone in the event of a hurricane. For us that means our office is perched 20 feet in the air, a common site for many bayou buildings. However, that means our amenities such as the bathrooms and laundry facility require a hike up the stairs.

We believe your stay at Legends can still be enjoyable without those amenities and our staff will be more than happy to accommodate you downstairs if you need assistance. However, if you aren't comfortable walking up two flights of stairs and feel the office's elevation will affect your stay, we suggest you check out one of the other many great RV parks in our area. Call us and we can suggest a few.
